Hard stop

A replacement pedal is not a thread repair

A pedal that loosens or falls off, a pulled or cross-threaded crank, a cracked crank, or a damaged spindle closes the shopping path.

Do not install another pedal to see whether it holds. Establish whether the crank, spindle, both threads, and any source-approved repair route are serviceable.

Broken bodies, binding spindles, missing retention, uncontrolled clip release, and unknown power-pedal electronics route to exact service evidence.

This page does not teach removal, installation direction, grease, washers, torque, cleat positioning, tension, bearing service, or test riding.

If retention, control, structure, or release may be unsafe, stop riding and use the exact current crank/pedal instructions or a qualified service path. The utility organizes decision evidence; it cannot inspect or clear the bicycle.
